It all started…

In Brazil, when Jackie was working as a producer for a magazine, and traveled across the country with her team of photographers, capturing the unique landscape of gastronomic Brazilian delights. She quickly developed a love for photography and made it her vocation.

With a keen eye for details and geometric figures, Jackie Knabben started to work with luxury hotels, using unique angles and using each property’s light and unique selling points to portray genuine, luxurious and inviting ambiances. She traveled the world photographing hotels in cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Punta del Este, Paris, London, Los Angeles and Miami.

She moved to Miami in 2015 and while adjusting to a new community, was introduced to Born Free Pet Shelter (https://bornfreeshelter.org) where she started her volunteer work capturing each dog’s personality and beauty to help with adoption. Jackie was already a dog lover, having brought her two dogs from Brazil, and her work with Born Free further got her to engage with pet photography at a deeper level.

She still works with Born Free Pet Shelter, and goes there every week.
